However, the ability for someone to pay by credit card must be available. You should also offer PayPal, whether you like it or not. Many people only pay using PayPal, and they don’t have all the problems that some claim. There are faults with all payment systems, and the vast majority of PayPal customers have never experienced a problem. However, if they don’t like it, they also have your credit card option, don’t they.
There are lots of companies you can use for credit card payments, and they very similar in the way they work. Some charge more than others, so be careful what you pay. A regular bank will cost you a fortune, but a company such as 2CO charge only a single setting up fee and a small charge for each transaction. There are others that you can find with an internet search.
So, you can now offer PayPal that allow direct bank payments and credit/debit cards, and you also have your credit card merchant arranged. What else is there? More than you think. Take eCharge Phone. With that system you can pay without a credit card or bank account, and have the payment put onto your telephone bill. Check out the internet for more details. Then there is eGold, another popular online payment system.
Here, you fund your account with money in the way of gold, silver or platinum purchase, then use it to pay your internet purchases. It is a bit of a novelty way of doing things, but people like it and it works. You cannot, however, fund your eGold account with a credit card, at least not when I last tried it, but then if you had a credit card you would not have to use eGold, would you.
